Mable Avenue Park is a nice piece of suburban green space on the west bank of the Fox River in Elgin, Illinois just a few blocks south of the Judson University Campus. This nature preserve helps to protect the home of turtles, frogs, herons, and many others.

Elgin Park Ordinances

*All motor vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey 15 m.p.h. speed limit and all State of Illinois traffic laws.

*Don't be a litterbug. Please put all trash in proper containers.

*Consumption of alcoholic beverages requires special permit.

*Do not disturb any plants or animals.

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at dawn and close at dusk.

*All dogs must be leashed.

*All fires are restricted to picnic grills.

Please respect these ordinances as well as all local, State of Illinois, and United States statutes.
