Welcome to Sugar Creek Preserve. This natural park is the location of the headwaters of Sugar Creek.

Preserve History: Will County first began to acquire this land in 1972 with the purchase of the 30 acre tract of land known as Zalar Woods. Additional tracts were purchased in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. For the lover of the outdoors this preserve boasts miles of multipurpose trails including access to the 26 mile Wauponsee Glacial Trail (A rails to trails project), the Sugar Creek Administration Center, and so much more. Come on out and explore!
