Marseilles, Illinois

Welcome to LaSalle Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area, a popular angler's destination located about 8 miles southest of Marseilles, Illinois. The 2,058 acre LaSalle Lake serves as a cooling lake for a nearby Commonwealth Edison power facility. However both industry and nature coexist here. Recreational opportunities here are restricted. Swimming, water-skiing, and sailing are not allowed. Boats are allowed in the lake but only for the purpose of fishing. All boat motors must be gasoline powered and may not go faster than 40mph. Come on out and cast a line!
