Welcome to the beautiful Captain Daniel Wright Woods Forest Preserve located in Mettawa, Illinois. This preserve boasts over four miles of multipurpose trails for all seasons including access to the Des Plaines River Trail. The 1938 Adlai Stevenson Historic Home is also located here. Captain Daniel Wright was one of the first European settlers of the region.
