Welcome to Cool Creek Park and Nature Center located in Carmel, Indiana. This beautiful park is one of the most popular parks in Hamilton County and boasts many activities and features. This is also the home of the Cool Creek Nature Center which offers many educational programs and even concerts in the summertime.

Park History: The land that is now Cool Creek Park and Nature Center was first purchased by Hamilton County in 1975 with the help of Edward McMahon. It did not officially open to the public however until July 1990. Over the years many additional facilities were added including the Music Pavilion and Administrative Offices in 1994, the prairie in 1995, the Nature Center in 1997, and the greenhouse in 2001.

For the lover of the outdoors this park boasts over four miles of hiking trails that present many great bird-watching opportunities, paved trails to accommodate for cyclists and roller bladers, softball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts, a playground for the kids, and so much more. Hamilton County Park Rules

*The following activities are all prohibited; golfing, soliciting, snowmobiling, hunting, consumption of alcoholic beverages, littering.

*All parks are open year round from sunrise until sunset.

*Please obey the 15mph speed limit and keep all vehicles on designated roadways.

*Swimming and wading and smoking are allowed only in designated areas.

*All animals must be leashed and waste removed.
