Jeffersonville's Big 4 Station Park formerly known as Richard H. Colston Park is a place of history! Many fallen soldiers of the Civil War were buried here but long ago the tombstones were lost so their identities are not known. In the decade of the roaring 1920's the city converted this piece of land to recreational use and in time the park was named after the first park's superintendent, Richard Colston, a well respected leader. This park was RecPlanet place of the day on October 18, 2014.

Veteran's Memorial Park was first established on October 2, 2019 and like all with the same name around the country this one is dedicated to the men and women of the United States Military.
