Back Bay Fens Park
Welcome to Boston's grand and beautiful Back Bay Fens Park. This park was first established in 1879 and is one of many parks in Boston and around the nation to be designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. It was because of Olmsted that what was once a place of sewage overflow pollution is now a beautiful urban park. Olmsted was also responsible for the damming of the Charles River which now keeps it freshwater instead of Brackish water. This park contains athletic fields, several war memorials, beautiful gardens, and so much more.
