Welcome to Moon Island Park located in Boston Harbor. This island's name dates back to the 17th century when it was known as "Manning's Moone." At the time it was used for agricultural purposes. In the late 19th century it actually became a sewage facility and in the 20th century it was used a police and fire training facility.
