Welcome to Greenbrier State Park located in the Appalachian Mountains of western Maryland near Boonsboro. The Appalachian Trail, a 2,184 mile that goes from Georgia to Maine, cuts through this park. The park's 42 acre manmade lake is popular for all types of water recreation and is stocked with trout, bluegill, and largemouth bass. Lifeguards are on duty from Memorial Day until Labor Day from 11:00am until 6:00pm. Some of the park's other amenities including miles of trails, over 150 campsites, geological history, and more. Come out and explore.
