Sherwood Forest Neighborhood Conservation Area

Colesville, Maryland

Welcome to the beautiful Sherwood Forest Neighborhood Conservation Area located in Colesville, Maryland not far from Westover Elementary School. This is an undeveloped natural park that was first purchased by Montgomery County back in 1963. It helps to protect wildlife habitat on a stream bank for animals such as raccoons, squirrels, owls, hawks, and many others. It is said that if one is lucky, they just might see Robin Hood roaming around this park (RecPlanet Joke).
