Welcome to Martin Luther King Park in Highland Park, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. This suburban playground, like many parks across the nation was named for Martin Luther King Jr. the great Civil Rights Leader who was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1929 and died in Memphis, Tennessee in 1968.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, motor vehicles, swimming.
*All dogs must be leashed (no longer than 6 feet) and waste removed.
