Welcome to the beautiful Grindstone Nature Area in Columbia, Missouri. This natural park was first established in 1975 when the city purchased the land from the Grindstone Valley Development Corporatoin for a price of $425K.

Columbia Missouri Park Ordinances

*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, removing plants or animals, climbing trees, littering, foul language, disorderly behavior, weapons, alcoholic beverages.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; motor vehicles, swimming, boating, picnic grilling, camping, horseback riding.

*All persons age 4 and over must use the restroom of their designated sex.
