Big Lake State Park
Welcome to Big Lake State Park located on the state's largest oxbow lake not too far from Craig. An Oxbow Lake is a lake that was once a river bend before natural forces rerouted the river. In this case that river was the Missouri River. First established in 1932, this is one of Missouri's older state parks.
Camping: Big Lake State Park boasts 76 campsites and most of them have electrical hookups. There are also hot showers nearby.
Boating: Big Lake itself is 646 acres in size and is open to all types of watercraft. Canoes and kayaks can be rented at the park.
