Welcome to the Santa Fe National Forest located in the Rocky Mountains of Northern New Mexico! The Santa Fe National Forest ranges in elevation from as low as 5,300 feet ASL to as high as 13,103 feet ASL at the top of Truchas Peak.  

Wildlife: Santa Fe National Forest helps protect the home of numerous plant and animals species. Some of the plants that grow inside the forest boundaries include aspens, pines, and many wildflowers. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include mule deer, elk, mountain lions, black bears, bighorn sheep, coyotes, and bald eagles. Please treat their home with respect.  

For the lover of the outdoors Santa Fe National Forest boasts over 1,000 miles of multipurpose trails, 23 campgrounds, the Santa Fe Ski Resort, and so much more. Come on out and explore.
