Richman (Echo) Park
Welcome to New York City's Richman (Echo) Park located in the Bronx. For nearly a century it has gotten it's name from the fact that the two large rocks inside the park create an echo effect. In 1973, it was named in honor of Julius Richman, a man who served the City of New York on the Twin Parks Board and Urban Action Task Force. Today this park boasts basketball courts, a playground, and more. Come out and have fun!
The acreage of adjoining O'Brien Oval is included in this park's profile. O'Brien Oval was named for WWI Veteran Thomas A. O'Brien who fell in battle on October 12, 1918.
