Whitlam Woods Park
Welcome to Whitlam Woods Park located in Hambden, Ohio. A man named Fred Whitlam helped Geauga County raise the money for the purchase of this land in 1959 on the one condition that it be named in memory of his family. In 1976 Whitlam Woods Park finally opened to the public. Today this forest of oaks, maples, and hemlocks gives home to wild-turkeys, foxes, white-tailed deer, red-tailed hawks, raccoons, squirrels, and many others. For the human visitor this park offers 1.5 miles of multipurpose trails and more. Come out and explore!
