Ontario Provincial Park

Welcome to Ontario's largest and most remote Provincial Park, the magnificent Polar Bear Provincial Park which can only be accessed via aircraft. Some of the park's resident wildlife include moose, caribou, black bears, beluga whales, white whales, walruses and of course you know what. As many as 200 polar bears can be in the coastal area.

Nearly half a billion years ago there was a large body of water known as the Tyrell Sea which has since retreated into James Bay and Hudson Bay. About 4000 years ago the limestone bedrock ceased to be submerged.

One must obtain a permit in order to visit this park.
