Kooser State Park

Somerset, Pennsylvania

Welcome to Pennsylvania's beautiful Kooser State Park located in it's Allegheny Mountain Region. The park is named for John Kooser, an early 19th century settler of the region. The Civilian Conservation Corp spent many years building the park's facilities and in 1962 the land became a state park.

Camping: Kooser State Park has 35 campsites and 28 of them have electrical hookups. 5 sites have all hookups including sewer. Come out and stay a few nights.

Fishing: Both the 4 acre pond and Kooser Run are stocked with trout. Come out and bring a line and a pole and see if you can catch a few. Some of the other fish include bluegill and bass.
