Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument

The Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument is the largest conservation area in the United States and one of the largest on the planet. It sprawls across over 89 million acres and 139,797 square miles of ocean floor. It is larger than all of the National Parks in the United States put together.

Wildlife: The Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument's majestic coral reefs help protect the home of over 7,000 marine species including the sea turtle and monk seal. Please treat their home with respect.

The creation of this monument was one of the last things George W. Bush did in his presidency. Thus not everything that the man did for the environment was bad.
