Sledding at Candler Park

During last weeks snow storm I went to my favorite place in Atlanta on snowy days, Candler Park. I first came here back in 1992 and have been back in 1996, 2000, 2002, 2008, 2010, and 2011. This time somebody had the clever idea of bringing a lawn chair out to be used for a sled. Riding it down the hill must have been like riding the luge in the Olympics, but it sure was fun. Always fun to go to the park and meet your neighbors and get your exercise. I even ran across one of my old students.

Candler Park is a great place for sledding because it's got a large hill with a fairly steep incline. And in my case it's just a few blocks away. It's a very beautiful site on a snowy day.
