Welcome to Danny Mayfield Park located in Knoxville, Tennessee. This small urban park first opened in 2004 during the revitilization of the Mechanicsville Neighborhood. It is named after former City Councilman Danny Mayfield who founded the Tribe One urban ministry and passed away from cancer in 2001. Today this park boasts numerous works of African Art, a picnic, shelter, and a playground for the kids. Come out and have fun. Danny Mayfield Park was RecPlanet Park of the day on January 3, 2014.
Knoxville Park Rules
*The following are all prohibited, weapons, alcohol, burning (except picnic grills), littering, horseback riding, golfing.
*All vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all traffic laws.
*Unless otherwise posted, all parks open at dawn and close at dusk.
*All animals must be leashed and waste removed.
