Douglass Park is an active community park in Memphis, Tennessee. When it opened in 1913 this was the first recreation area to be established for the African American community during the days of segregation. It is named after Frederick Douglass.

All City of Memphis parks open at 6 a.m. year round and close at 8 p.m. March 15-October 31 and at 6 p.m. from November 1-March 14. Please note that all picnic areas are used on a first come first serve basis.
