Welcome to Vivian Park, nestled deep in the heart of Provo Canyon in Provo, Utah. The land that is now Vivian Park was first owned by a settler by the name of William Ferguson who purchased the land in 1888 and built "Billy's Place" a place where travelers could rest and eat. In the 20th century the land gained new ownership and became a tourist attraction with cabins, dance halls, restaurants, and boat rentals. The name Vivian is traced back to a young girl named Vivian McBride. The owner of the resort thought that young Vivian was so pretty that he decided to name part of his retreat for her. Today this park boasts a sand volleyball court, fishing in the Provo River, playgrounds for the kiddies, and so much more. Come on out and have a blast!
