Welcome to Bear Creek Lake State Park located in the middle of the Cumberland State Forest! The parks boasts a 40 acre lake with numerous aquatic opportunities as well as miles of multipurpose trails that link up to the Cumberland State Forest. The park also provides a lodge as well as over a dozen cabins and campsites.

Park History. The 40 acre Bear Creek Lake was built by farmers, carpenters, and unskilled laborers during the depression. In 1940 the land was given over to the state to be used as a recreation area. The men also built the concession stand, two pavilions and six fireplaces. 28 of the campsites have electricity and water. Come on out and explore!
