Whale Watching in Kenai Fjords National Park

This is from my father.

Yesterday (Thursday) we went to Seward, and took a boat tour of Kenai Fjords, a national park which you can see only by boat (except for one small corner). Left the dock about 11:30 (along with about 200 others), and got back late afternoon.

We saw sea otters, orca whales (actually, they're dolphins), Dalls porpoises, humpback whale (just one), seals, sea lions, several types of puffins, and various other sea birds.

We also got up close to a couple of glaciers. One, we drove to a trailhead and hiked, before the boat excursion. It was a valley glacier, one that ended on land. The other glacier we got close to was from the boat; it was a tidewater glacier, that ends in water, and generates icebergs.
