Welcome to Butler Nature Preserve in Sussex, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee. This natural park helps protect 40 acres of wetlands.

Sussex Park Ordinances 

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at dawn and close at 9:00 p.m.

*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, disorderly conduct, littering, weapons.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; alcoholic beverages, bicycling, camping, fires, horseback riding, motor vehicles, skating, smoking, swimming. 

*The following require special permits; advertising, amplified sound.

*All dogs must be leashed no longer than 6 feet and waste removed.
