Welcome to Wyoming's Mortenson Lake National Wildlife Refuge located just southwest of Laramie. The Endangered Species Act helped lead to the establishement of the refuge in 1993 to protect habitat for the Wyoming Toad. Due to the fragility of the ecosystem there is no public access here.
