Welcome to Hartford's magnificent Goodwin Park. This park was first established by the City of Hartford, Connectcitut in 1895 and it was designed by the great Frederick Law Olmstead, who designed many parks around the nation including New York City's world famous Central Park. For it's first few years this park was known as South Park but in 1900 it was renamed in honor of the first President of the Park Board, Francis Goodwin. Today this park has a sprayground for hot summer days, four tennis courts, a basketball court, a picnic area with grills, a playground for the kids, and much more. So whether you live in the Hartford area or are just visiting come out and have fun!
