Seward Square

Washington, District of Columbia

Welcome to Seward Square located in Washington DC, the United States Capitol City. This urban park is named for a man who was Secretary of State under both President Lincoln and President Andrew Johnson, John Seward. Seward's most famous achievement is the Alaska purchase which some called "Sewards Folly" but lets be honest, the United States would not be nearly the same without Alaska because Alaska is home to some of the nation's most beautiful scenery, most important wildlife habitat, and many valuable natural resources.
