Submitted by Factbandit on Thu, 05/24/2012 - 02:01.

The Tybee Island Sea Turtle Project is a group of friends who meet each morning, at sunrise, and comb the beach for signs of sea turtles, their nests and eggs in order to properly mark nest areas to prevent disturbance.  Everyone is a volunteer in pursuit of assisting these beautiful, amazing creatures continue their existance.
