Welcome to Florida's one of a kind Koreshan State Historic Site. It was here at this site in 1894 where a migrant named Cyrus Reed Teed started a "Koreshan Unity" colony. Eventually the colony faded out and in 1961, nearly 70 years after it's establishment the last surviving members donated the land to the State of Florida.

Boating: Aside from the site's history people can also use this park to access the Estero River. There are even rentals for non-motorized watercraft at the park office. Come out and explore.

To contact the park office please call 239-992-0311.

This was RecPlanet place of the day on January 14, 2018.
