Mound Key Archeological State Park

Welcome to Florida's Mound Key Archeological State Park located in the waters of Estero Bay. As the name suggests, this island is actually the site of an ancient Native American burial ground of the Calusa Tribe. The top of the mound is over 30 feet above the water. Other more recent visitors to the island other than tourists include pirates and fishermen.
