Peony Park

Welcome to Peony Park in West Des Moines, Iowa. This park was once the site of Peony Farm which was owned by renouned political cartoonist J.N. "Ding" Darling.

The picnic area at Peony Park has grills, the soccer field is informal, and the baseball/softball facility is a backstop.

West Des Moines Iowa Park Ordinances

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 10:30 p.m.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas, fires, motor vehicles, swimming.

*The following are prohibited; defacing public property, harming of wildlife, littering, tobacco, weapons.

*All animals must be leashed no longer than 10 feet and waste removed.

*Overnight camping requires special permit.
