Preserve History: The land that is now Sun Lake Forest Preserve was once drained many years ago for farmland. In 1999 the Forest Preserve District purchased the land and many efforts have been made to restore the wetlands.
For the lover of the outdoors this preserve boasts over three miles of multipurpose trails and much more. Come on out and explore.
