Herrontown Woods Park
Welcome to Herrontown Woods Park located in Princeton, New Jersey, home of one of the world's top universities. The land that is today's park was once the property of a Princeton professor Oswald Veblen, who was also a world renouned mathematician. He and his wife operated a farm on the property for many years before they finally deeded the land to Mercer County in 1957. This park is almost entire deciduous forest habitat that protects the home of many wild animals including chipmunks, cottontail rabbits, eastern box turtles as well as wood turtles, gray and red squirrels, raccoons, white-tailed deer, and many others. Please treat their home with respect when visiting.
