Harris County's George Bush Park, located in Houston, is one of the largest county parks in the United States. It is named after the 41st President of the United States, George Herbert Walker Bush, and is the site of his Presidential Library. There are many, many miles of multipurpose trails here as well as a field for flying remote-control aircraft, and so much more. Many wild animals including white-tailed deer, snapping turtles, raccoons, red-tailed hawks, and others make their home here.
When visiting any park in Harris County Texas please be respectful of the rules.
*All burning and fires are restricted to picnic grills.
*For your safety and for the safety of other people and animals all glass objects are prohibited.
*Consumption of alcoholic beverages is only allowed under special conditions. For more information please call 281-496-2177.
*All dogs must be leashed, no longer than 6 feet.
*The following activities require special permit from the park's director; sales, posting of ads, events such as rock concerts, political campaigns, or any event involving amplified sound.
*The following activities must be done in designated areas; golfing, flying remote control aircraft.
*Only law enforcement officers and those with concealed weapons permits may carry weapons. However at all sporting events weapons are prohibited.
*Please respect all plants and animals in the parks.
*All motor vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all State of Texas traffic laws.
