Mount Trashmore Park

Virginia Beach, Virginia

Welcome to Mount Trashmore Park in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As the name suggests, this park was once an operating landfill that held 640,000 tons of trash. Today it is a beautiful and active recreation area with a skate park, a 26,000 square foot Kids Cove Playground, 2 fishing ponds, paved multipurpose trails, sand volleyball courts, 11 picnic shelters with grills, and more.

This park is inspired by the May 1998 Simpsons episode title Trash of The Titans, (RecPlanet Joke).
