Shimek Ravine Nature Preserve

Welcome to Shimek Ravine Nature Preserve in Iowa City, Iowa right behind Shimek Elementary School. This oak-hickory forest preserve was donated to the Bur Oak Land Trust in 1992. Today this preserve is home to over 160 species of plants as well as animals that include bobcats, deer, foxes, and raccoons.
