Berens Park
Welcome to Berens Park located in Elmhurst, Illinois.
Park History: The City of Elmhurst purchased the first parcels of land between 1963 and 1965 and built the park's amenities in 1966. The park was originally named Armitage Avenue Park but was renamed in honor of Helmut Berens, a local author and historian who helped establish the Elmhurt Historical Commission. Additional tracts of land were purchased in the 1970's and in 2002 to bring the park to it's present day size of 62 acres.
Today Berens Park boasts five soccer fields, five lighted baseball fields, twelve lighted tennis courts, a nearly one mile walking path, three sand volleyball courts, a sledding hill for snowy winter days, a playground for the kids, and much more. Come on out and have fun. In order to rent the park's soccer fields or other facilities please call 630-993-8944.
