Welcome to Devonshire Park located in Skokie, Illinois.

Park History: In 1955 the citizens of Skokie passed a referendum for the establishment of several local parks including Devonshire Park. The land that is now Devonshire Park was once used for defense purposes and several anti-aircraft batteries were built inside the park boundaries during the Cold War. The community center and swimming pool were built in the 1960's. In 1992 a subterranean water storage vault was built in order to help improve the park's drainage as well as reduce the risk of flooding in the surrounding communities. In 1995 the Park had a $4 million renovation and a small boardwalk was built and the community center was given a second floor.

Today this park boasts four picnic tables with charcoal pits, three tennis courts, one playground, two basketball courts, and much more. Come on out and have fun.
