Henry O. Gleiss Park
Welcome to Henry O. Gleiss Park in Skokie, Illinois.
Park History: Like Emerson Park, Gleiss Park was purchased with the bond and grant money of 1964. This small park was once a mobile home community and is today home of some of the largest trees in the Skokie Park district. The park was named for Henry O. Gleiss who served as a district commissioner for 18 years from 1949-1967.
In 1993 a $229,000 renovation took place in which the park received a basketball court, a playground, and tennis courts. Come on out and have fun.
