Lauth Park

Skokie, Illinois

Welcome to Lauth Park located in Skokie, Illinois.

Park History: In 1964 the park district had $8 million dollars to spend, $2 million came from a local bond referendum, and $6 million came from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This money was spent to purchase 10 new park sites including Lauth Park. The park was named for Walter Lauth, a man who served as a commissioner for the Skokie Park District from 1946 until 1963.

In 1991, a redevelopment with a price tag of $128K gave the park a new playground, new baseball diamond, new basketball courts, and new tennis courts. Come on out and have fun!
