Barbara Jordan Park is a small neighborhood park located in Houston, Texas. This park is named after a great woman who fought for the civil rights of African Americans and people with disabilities. This park has a full basketball court, two tennis courts, a playground, and more. This was RecPlanet place of the day on April 13, 2015.

*All burning and fires are restricted to picnic grills.
*For your safety and for the safety of other people and animals all glass objects are prohibited.
*Consumption of alcoholic beverages is only allowed under special conditions. For more information please call 281-496-2177.
*All dogs must be leashed, no longer than 6 feet.
*The following activities require special permit from the park's director; sales, posting of ads, events such as rock concerts, political campaigns, or any event involving amplified sound.
*The following activities must be done in designated areas; golfing, flying remote control aircraft.
*Only law enforcement officers and those with concealed weapons permits may carry weapons. However at all sporting events weapons are prohibited.
*Please respect all plants and animals in the parks.
*All motor vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all State of Texas traffic laws.
