Doss Park

Welcome to Doss Park in Houston, Texas. Contrary to popular belief, this recreation area is not named for the Doss Disk Drive of the early 1990's (RecPlanet Joke). All of the park's athletic facilities are lighted so that people can continue to play after the sun goes down. To reserve the Mangum-Howell Community Center for special events please call 281-353-4196.

When visiting any park in Harris County Texas please be respectful of the rules.

*All burning and fires are restricted to picnic grills.

*For your safety and for the safety of other people and animals all glass objects are prohibited.

*Consumption of alcoholic beverages is only allowed under special conditions. For more information please call 281-496-2177.

*All dogs must be leashed, no longer than 6 feet.

*The following activities require special permit from the park's director; sales, posting of ads, events such as rock concerts, political campaigns, or any event involving amplified sound.

*The following activities must be done in designated areas; golfing, flying remote control aircraft.

*Only law enforcement officers and those with concealed weapons permits may carry weapons. However at all sporting events weapons are prohibited.

*Please respect all plants and animals in the parks.

*All motor vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all State of Texas traffic laws.
