South Valley Park
Welcome to Jefferson County's magnificent South Valley Park! For over 10,000 years this land was occupied by various hunter/gatherer Native American tribes. One of the first white men to own this land was a man by the name of Frank Mann who purchased it to a John Shaffer in 1926. It changed ownership many times over the years until Martin Marietta and Colrad sold the land to Jefferson County in 1997. Today the park boasts over 8 miles of multipurpose trails, stunning sandstone formations, and so much more. Come on out and explore.
