Lake Sinclair Summer Blue Cat
Friday, July, 26, 2013
Big Cat Outdoors

Big Cat Outdoors and The Woody Wood Fishing Show has some information for all you catfish anglers who fish Lake Sinclair. "Lake Sinclair Summer Blue Cat", was produced for TV in 2012. Generally speaking, Lake Sinclair is a "Sleeper" for catching trophy catfish. Being downstream from Lake Oconee and 4-years behind in population, as reported by Department of Wildlife Fisheries in Georgia in 2012, is not exactly accurate. In June, 2012, my wife and I detoured from Lake Oconee and fished Lake Sinclair just to see.

We launched our boat at Crooked Creek Marina because the water is deeper halfway in between the...Read More

Lake Sinclair GC&SU Wakeboarding
Monday, July, 22, 2013

Afternoon wakeboarding session on Lake Sinclair, Milledgeville Georgia. I have had the opportunity to take on the role as president of Georgia College & State University's Wakeboard team. Our team has grown tremendously and in 2012 we were ranked 8th in the nation. Since taking on the role as president I have been able to take our team all over the southeast competiting in tournaments and riding with professional wakeboarders.

I always jump at a chance to go wakeboard. Since our team does not have a boat, it is hard to organize any type of riding for our team. I know many people with boats on Lake Sinclair so I get to ride with a lot of people over the summer. This...Read More

Trail Running at the Quarry Complex
Saturday, July, 06, 2013

The Quarry Complex is a series of trail that is part of Morro Bay State Park in California.  It is used by hikers, mountain bikers, rock climbers and trail runners.  Located along South Bay Blvd between Morro Bay and Los Osos it is easily accessible with a nice parking area at the base of the Quarry Trail.  It is one of my favorite places in the area to run as it offers some really challenging hills and open grassland running.  From the parking lot I head up the Quarry Trail, and I mean up.  The first .35 miles climbs from sea level to 275 ft!  Took me seven minutes to get to the top of this first climb which comes out right across from a rock wall...Read More

Kota Kinabalu, the under-rated macro diving haven of Sabah
Thursday, May, 30, 2013
Borneoscuba

Kota Kinabalu is the capital of Sabah, formerly known as the British North Borneo before it gained its independence in August 1963. Today, Sabah is part of the states that makes up Malaysia; a small but thriving country in South East Asia.

Many scuba divers all around the world may not have even heard about Kota Kinabalu as a choice destination for a scuba diving holiday. Its popularity has been dwarfed by the fame of the world famous Sipadan Island to the east of Borneo.

For those diving enthusiast who don’t really have much spare time to spend on extended diving holiday might want to consider diving around Kota Kinabalu waters. The Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine...Read More

I love to run in the park where I am so blessed to live!  On the six mile round trip run from Hesitation Point  to the Nature Center in Brown County State Park (Nashville, Indiana), you will run through an oak forest, an amazing meadow and a pine forest.  Beautiful panoramic views like this one greet you several times on the trip.

The Jump from 100,000 feet

iceyt1981

Today I got flown up to 100,000 feet and was pushed out of the aircraft in a spacesuit for the long fall to the earth below. We were 20 miles over the coast and I could see the land slowly getting closer. Or should I say, April Fools!

If you are a trail runner and you live in California you must eventually find your way to Montana de Oro State Park near Los Osos, CA.  This beautiful state park is right on the coast and allows you to run or hike miles of trails, from the level Bluff Trail where the side of the trail looks straight down onto the rocks and the pounding surf below; to the challenging trails clilmbing the many peaks in the park.

A beautiful day on the beltline
Wednesday, March, 13, 2013
iceyt1981

It has certainly been a while since I last wrote up a blog post. Today I thought about going home for a nap but decided instead to go for a walk on the beltline. I did not keep an odometer on me but I must have put in at least a few miles. My first stop was to the playground where I checked out the new age play structures that they have for kids. When the moment comes to where there is a structure with no kids on it then I will snap a picture of it for the website. It is my policy that there be no pictures of children. For their own safety. Then I had to climb up to the Beltine from Ralph McGill boulevard, why the City of Atlanta did not...Read More
